Human Muzzle

The Human Muzzle was used as a medieval torture device, often bulky and made from iron these would be used to clamp together the jaw of the prisoner. This would render the victim incapable of eating, biting or drinking properly and made talking extremely painful.

In Modern society the most common association of a human muzzle is in the film, Silence of the Lambs, about a convicted cannibal called Hannibal Lecter. This effect made Hannibal the Cannibal immeasurably more scary looking, wearing a muzzle is terrifying for those around you as clearly someone deemed you so unsafe you weren't allowed to bite anything in sight.

As a costume a Human Muzzle is sure to be terrifyingly scary to those around you, coupled with a straight jacket this is sure to a be a Halloween winner!
